Frequently asked questions

We meet in different pubs around Dublin city centre each week, Northside and Southside. Once you join you will be able to access our events calendar

Most people bring their own projects to work on. It's a great way to get advice or input on a work-in-progress or help others with theirs. While we tend to meet in places where alcohol can be purchased and most Knitwits are known to imbibe in an adult beverage or two, there's nothing saying you have to drink -- so long as you can put up with others who are! If it's your first time, you won't miss us at the pub -- just walk right up and tell us you are new and we will make sure you get settled in.

There is an initial month trial period for new members, so you can try out our events and see if they are for you! If you decide to become a Knitwit, full membership is €15 for the year. If you plan on attending meetups on a regular basis, please choose this option. However, we realise that not everyone is able to attend regularly, so there is also a part-time option of €7.50 for 12 months. These costs go towards website admin and any excess is put back into the group for events such as our Christmas party.
